How CalcDock Is Funded

CalcDock is a free service supported by advertising revenue. We display ads on our pages so that we can continue to offer all calculators at no cost to you.

Editorial Independence & Recommendations

Display advertising and any future affiliate or sponsored placements do not determine which calculators or Guides we highlight, how tools are ordered in navigation, or how we explain limitations. Editorial choices are made for reader usefulness and accuracy — not at the request of advertisers. If sponsored content is ever introduced, it will be labeled and kept visually distinct from editorial tools and articles.

Advertising Does Not Affect Calculator Results

Advertising has no influence on CalcDock's calculation logic, formulas, or results. Our calculators operate using standard mathematical formulas and publicly available reference data. Advertisers cannot alter how our tools work or what results they produce.

Ad Placement Principles

  • Ads are placed in positions that do not interrupt the calculation input/output flow
  • No ads appear inside result cards or between input fields
  • Ad slots are positioned above the calculator, below results, and after FAQ sections
  • We do not use pop-up ads, interstitials, or auto-playing video ads

Affiliate Links

CalcDock does not currently use affiliate links. If we introduce affiliate relationships in the future, we will disclose them on this page.

Where ads appear and where they do not

Ad placements on CalcDock are restricted to three locations on each tool page: a top banner above the calculator, an inline slot below the calculated result, and a footer slot beneath the FAQ. No ads are placed inside the calculation flow itself — between an input and its output, or above a warning message — because that would interrupt the work you came here to do. Category and trust pages (about, contact, editorial policy, privacy policy, terms) carry only a top banner if any at all. Pages covering medical, legal, or financial-risk topics use more conservative placement than general utility pages.

Editorial independence

No advertiser sees a calculator before it goes live, and no advertiser can request changes to a calculator, an intro paragraph, an FAQ answer, or a guide. We do not accept paid placements that substitute for organic results, sponsored calculator entries disguised as native tools, or affiliate links embedded in calculator outputs. If we ever add an affiliate program — for example, recommending a specific mortgage broker — the disclosure will appear inline at the point of recommendation, in the same paragraph, not in a footnote.

Our revenue from programmatic ads is decoupled from which calculators we build. We pick what to build based on whether the underlying math is useful and stable, not on which topics monetize best. A password-generator page earns roughly nothing per visit; a mortgage page earns meaningfully more. Both ship to the same quality bar.

User controls

  • Decline non-essential cookies via the consent banner — ad personalization will fall back to non-personalized ads served by topic only.
  • Use Google's Ads Settings dashboard to manage interest-based advertising across all Google properties, including the ads on this site.
  • Browser-level blockers (uBlock Origin, Brave Shields, Safari content blockers) work normally — we do not detect, gate, or modify the experience based on whether ads load.
  • To opt out of behavioral advertising from non-Google networks, see the DAA opt-out and the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance.
