Monetary rounding

Most currencies use 2 decimals; some use 0 or 3. Always round at the end of a step unless your policy states otherwise.

Half-up vs bankers rounding

Choose and document your rounding method. Bankers rounding reduces cumulative bias in large datasets.

Display vs storage

Store full precision, round on display. For invoices, round line items consistently and ensure totals match.
